May 2024 - MALSP Meeting - gen AI Prompt Engineering for eDiscovery Professionals
SYNOPSIS:
The emergence of generative AI technologies to enhance legal processes brings with it many questions about utility, quality, security, scalability and many others. This discussion will focus on a very pragmatic one – what is “prompt engineering” and how do I actually engage with these technology platforms using prompts to find the documents, information, and answers that I am looking for as an eDiscovery professional. The conversation will highlight the ways in which using prompts differ from other search and retrieval technologies, how to test and validate your prompts, and how prompt strategies tie to thoughtful spend management.
