SYNOPSIS:

James Jensen will help us understand as litigation support professionals what are our duties with regard to cyber security, what is the current threat environment, how should we keep ourselves safe, and how do we respond when a successful attack occurs.

Then David Yerich and James will answer a few questions about how the landscape looks from the client’s perspective.

Michael Cavanaugh Blaes, Senior eDiscovery Consultant, Consilio

Michael Blaes has been with Legility / Consilio working with Corporations and Law Firms to help address eDiscovery needs across the EDRM for over a decade. As an eDiscovery Lawyer who has years of experience in house and in a law firm, Michael prides himself on understanding the specific needs of the client so that he can more carefully tailor the eDiscovery solutions at hand to meet their needs. Having worked through the budgeting process and managed teams Michael understands the importance of crafting the solution that meets the corporate demand, not vice versa.

Prior to becoming an eDiscovery consultant he was Deputy Chief Compliance Officer at US Bank and Chief Compliance Officer with a European conglomerate. He also spent several years as an attorney in private practice prior to going in house.

James Jansen, Vice President & Global Lead, Cyber Response Solutions, Consilio

As the Global Lead of Cyber Response Solutions and senior member of Consilio’s Client Services team, James focuses on helping clients and their counsel develop and implement effective strategies when impacted by data privacy and cyber incidents.

David Yerich, Director eDiscovery, UnitedHealth Group

David Yerich is the Director of eDiscovery for UnitedHealth Group, a fortune 10 company headquartered in Minnesota. David’s responsibilities include designing, updating, and implementing the processes, protocols and tools utilized by the Company related to electronic discovery for regulatory and legal matters.
