March MALSP Meeting - Hiring Trends for 2021

SYNOPSIS: 

Join Robert Half Legal as we discuss new hiring trends for 2021 emerging out of the pandemic, and how companies are adapting their recruitment and retention strategies to the new normal. You’ll also learn about legal positions and skills now in demand as it relates to cybersecurity, e-discovery and privacy; what staffing models might work best for your firm, whether it’s remote, on-site or hybrid; and the latest trends in benefits and perks most offered among employers. We hope to help you gain a better understanding of today’s employment landscape as you navigate the most tumultuous business environment in years.

PRESENTERS:

Courtney Brod, Vice president, Legal Consulting Solutions

Courtney Brod is a Vice President of Legal Consulting Solutions. Formerly a practicing attorney, she started with Robert Half as a Senior Director of Legal Projects before transitioning into her current role where she helps clients implement solutions in a wide variety of areas including eDiscovery & litigation, compliance, contracts, LIBOR transition and data privacy. Courtney works closely with law firms, corporations and government clients to develop solutions tailored to their specific situations which incorporate consulting expertise, technology and staff augmentation as needed. Courtney’s clients rely on her to provide strategies and project plans that are transparent, predictable and effective.

Amber Schreier, Managing director, Legal Consulting Solutions

Amber Schreier is a managing director with Robert Half Legal’s consulting solutions practice, where she oversees the vice president, legal project director, project fulfillment, project services and operations center sales teams in their delivery of legal, compliance and risk management consulting services. Ms. Schreier’s background includes 16 years in the legal field. She joined Robert Half Legal in 2005 as an Account Executive in the Minneapolis branch, was promoted to Division Director in 2006 and to Branch Manager in 2007. Most recently, she served as regional vice president, overseeing legal staffing operations for the company in Columbus, Dallas, Denver, Detroit/Southfield, Houston, Minneapolis and St. Louis. Ms. Schreier works closely with law firms and corporate legal departments to provide highly skilled legal professionals and project space for a variety of initiatives, including litigation, mergers and acquisitions, document and eDiscovery review.

Cynthia J. Lynn, Director, Legal Consulting Solutions

Cynthia is a Director with Legal Consulting Solutions. She has more than twelve years of professional experience designing and implementing complex eDiscovery projects and consulting in the legal industry. With an in-depth understanding of e-discovery, litigation technologies and the litigation lifecycle, Cynthia is able to aptly define the client’s needs and anticipate potential issues while maintaining proper documentation to create an accurate and efficient process.

Andrew McNaughtan, Director of Legal Permanent Placement 

Andrew McNaughtan is the Director of Legal Permanent Placement for Robert Half Legal, based in the company’s Minneapolis branch. Andrew joined Robert Half Legal in 2016. Andrew’s expertise in the legal industry goes back to his days as a Lawyer with Fee Langstone in New Zealand, where he spent more than two years focused on civil litigation.
