TOPIC: Trial Presentation for All Generations
On any given day, in courtrooms across the country, trial teams see no less than four generations sitting in the jury box: the Silent Generation, baby boomers, Generation X, and millennials. Understanding these multi-generational jurors and what visuals speak to them are critical aspects of jury trials. Participants will learn about these generational differences and how to take them into account when preparing for trial.

The presentation will include:
• A brief introduction into the rationale behind the generational perspective
• Description of the general tendencies of jurors of the three most prevalent generational cohorts: Baby boomers, Generation X and Millennials
• Tips for tailoring your case for the seated jury
• Discussion on the types of visuals that will resonate with jurors

PRESENTERS:

Adam Wirtzfeld, Director of Visual Communications, Litigation Insights
With 18 years of experience as a graphic designer and 14 creating demonstratives for the courtroom, Adam is an accomplished visual storyteller who is adept at explaining complex ideas through a careful combination of words and images. As the Director of Production, Adam oversees and helps design and plan a wide variety of concepts with his design team and animators. He works directly with trial teams to identify communication challenges and create compelling visual presentations that convey the necessary messages, while matching the team’s presentational style. His experience in thematically communicating case themes has proven effective in front of juries, judges and arbitrators in diverse venues around the country.

Adam Bloomberg, Vice President/Managing Director of Visual Communications, Litigation Insights
With more than 24 years of experience, Adam has consulted with hundreds of trial teams and corporate clients to develop communication strategies and presentations that educate, inform and persuade. He creates materials and exhibits for mock trials, focus groups, arbitrations and trials. Adam has led trial and war room technology and logistics efforts for a plethora of cases, such as toxic tort, product liability, financial and commercial cases. Over the years, he has published articles on trial technology in various professional periodicals including the National Law Journal.

John Ilg, Design Consultant, Litigation Insights

With over 20 years of experience as a technical illustrator of courtroom graphics, John is highly skilled at crafting visuals for complex legal and scientific matters. Before joining Litigation Insights, John worked on major litigation projects for Staehle Consulting, and as an Art Director for an international knowledge-management consulting company. He has also performed extensive photographic work for a variety of law firms and engineering companies where detailed images of specimens or equipment were needed. As a Design Consultant, John brings his keen eye to Litigation Insights’ Visual Communications team, where he works with clients to design and develop effective visual demonstratives for courtroom use. John excels at translating dense information and intricate processes into presentations that jurors understand and remember.
